Throwback Thursday

Happy Thursday All! For this throwback Thursday I'd like to revisit one of my favorite decades for fashion, the 1920's. For this first Throwback Thursday, let's look at the iconic French designer Jean Patou.

Fun Fact: He was known for eradicating the flapper look (gasp!) and creating the costliest perfume in the world. He also shortened the skirts and cut off the sleeves of women's tennis wear.

He died really early in life but his house continued to design clothing and produce perfume.

Look at that scandalous tennis skirt!

Words of Wisdom Wednesday

And I'm back. Trying something new. Each Wednesday I'd like to share a Word of Wisdom (fashion related of course). So let's get started with one of my favorites from Oscar Wilde:

"You can never be overdressed or over-educated"

Look at that fur collar and cuffs.
